Hawzah News Agency- a group of Shia Muslims and followers of Ayatollah Sheikh Ibrahim Yaqoub Zakzaky, participating in the Arbaeen walk from Pembeguwa to Zaria, set out on Friday morning and reached Dutsen Wai by the end of the first day, where they halted for overnight rest.
Throughout the journey, participants recited poems and elegies honoring Imam Hussein (PBUH), commemorating the epic of Ashura and the atrocities committed by the army of Yazid (may God curse him) against the Imam and his holy household in Karbala in the year 61 AH.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Sheikh Ahmad Yusuf Yashi, representative of the students of Ayatollah Zakzaky in the Bauchi region, delivered a speech shedding light on the oppression faced by the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) and the enemies' relentless efforts to extinguish the light of the divine faith.
Stressing that the uprising and sacrifice of Imam Hussein (PBUH) was aimed at awakening the Islamic Ummah from negligence, Sheikh Yashi stated, "Today, millions of people across the globe are responding to the timeless call of 'Is there any helper who will come to our aid?' by declaring their loyalty to the ideals of the Ashura movement with the cry of 'Labbaik Ya Hussein.'"
The first day of this spiritual walk concluded in a calm and orderly atmosphere, with pilgrims now preparing to resume their journey on the second day of this sacred trek.
